Jonathan O Truly one of Stephen King's powerful adaptation film ever is really suspenseful and very emotional thriller and Christopher Walken's performance is absolutely force of nature he's character is so human and tragic and you really do care for John who lost everything but he has the power to change the past, present and future to save mankind and this is very different directing from David Cronenberg with out body horror and make it a human drama psychological political thriller and really outstanding musical score to make the dead zone a true masterpiece and really strong writing to make this film possible. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review Sams K The geniuses of Stephen King writing and David Cronenberg directing, with a stunning Christopher Walken give us a perfect thriller drama! Great! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Jenna L As soon as I finished the book, I watched the movie. It's like a very very brief cliff notes summary of the book. It quickly hits the main points, skipping a few key things. Maybe the recent series will go into more graphic detail. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/03/24 Full Review David W The Dead Zone benefits from a strong performance by its star, Christopher Walken, and demonstrates the directional prowess of David Cronenberg. This was the first film of his where he only served as director and not writer as well. I've never been a huge fan of psychic-themed films, which may be why this one did not enthrall me very much. In that regard, my criticism is on unexplored but vital elements of the underlying story. That falls on Stephen King. For that, I would happily watch this again but only if there were nothing else to choose from. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Montgomery M Really interesting movie with a genuinely likeable character, and a super comforting vibe. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/13/23 Full Review Allen R Pretty well done thriller. The villain in the end seems to pop in abruptly, but overall the movie works!
