What information do I need to include in my ad?

Other than your own personal contact details, you will need to prepare the following details about your vehicle.

• Car plate number
• Last 5 digits of the owner's ID (NRIC or other identification)
• Selling Price
• Car model
• Optional: Mileage and up to 8 pictures.

We will automatically fill in the rest of your vehicle's information such as registration date, COE, OMV, number of transfers, etc. We suggest that you include as much information as possible for buyers to get a good gauge. Photos are usually the most important selling point.

How long will my advertisement be listed?

Your advertisement will be listed until your vehicle is sold or for 12 months, whichever is sooner. After the 6th week, the following conditions apply for your advertisement to remain posted on Sgcarmart:

• You are not a professional seller, eg car dealer
• The advertised vehicle has no change in ownership
• You update the advertisement at least once every 12 days
• No other advertiser submits an advertisement for the same vehicle

How can I pay for my advertisement?

• VISA/Mastercard
• Internet banking (via eNETS)
• Cheque

Sgcarmart accepts Internet Banking payments via these banks: DBS, OCBC, UOB, Citibank, Standard Chartered.

For cheque payment, please cross your cheque, and make it payable to SGCM PTE LTD. Write your name, contact number and car plate number at the back of your cheque, then mail it to Sgcarmart, 151 Lorong Chuan Lobby D #04-04, New Tech Park, S(556741).

When will my ad appear on Sgcarmart.com?

Within 12 working hours after we receive your payment. Once your advertisement is live, we will send you an email and SMS notification. You will not be able to login until it goes live.

How should I price my car?

As a direct seller, you should generally price lower than car dealers as you would not be able to achieve as high as a dealer's selling price. You can do a search on Sgcarmart and benchmark according to how other sellers are pricing it.

How long will it take to sell my car?

Based on our records, 80% of our advertisers secure a sale within 6 weeks. Depending on your selling price, it could be as quick as 1 to 2 days after posting your ad. You can add-on to your existing advertisement with StarAd for more exposure to sell quicker.

What should I do or expect after I posted my ad?

After you submitted all your vehicle details and made payment, your ad will go LIVE within 12 working hours. Thereafter, you can expect enquiries from interested buyers via calls, SMS and occasionally email. We suggest the following:

• Filter the enquiries to sieve out sincere buyers who can meet your price expectations
• Conduct the viewing and test drive at your preferred location. You will need an indemnity form.
• If buyer is keen to seal the deal, please read the next few questions

Can Sgcarmart provide me assistance for the sale process?

Yes. Once your advertisement has been published, we will mail you a package containing the following:

• Indemnity form
• Sales agreement
• Receipt
• Hand-over form (Sgcarmart Connect will prepare this document for you)

Additionally, Sgcarmart Connect will help you and your buyer to settle all the paperwork for the transaction at no charge once you send us the signed and completed sales agreement. Submit your completed Sales Agreement.

What happens after I find a buyer?

The full suite of services includes:

• Ensure all payments from buyer to seller are proper
• Proper documentation of processes
• Full settlement of seller's outstanding loan
• Sourcing the buyer's loan and insurance

• Transfer of ownership
• Provide a vehicle assessment report prior to handover
• Vehicle number plate retention (if needed)

Can I conceal my car plate number in the advertisement?

We provide a free photo editing service to censor your car plate number. You can enable this option during your advertisement creation, or email us at [emailprotected] with the same email address you used to submit your ad, stating "Delete car plate number" in the subject.

What does "free refresh" mean?

This means that your vehicle will be automatically reposted as a new advertisement if it has not been sold after 3 weeks. This will bring your advertisement to the 1st page of our used car listing, giving much more free exposure for your advertisement.

What is StarAd?

StarAd is Sgcarmart's premium advertising with increased exposure. You can choose to list your car as a new StarAd or add-on to your Standard Ad at anytime. StarAd includes priority search ranking, top visibility on our Used Cars landing and listing pages, and over 100,000 additional views.

Why is StarAd cheaper for a new advertiser?

If you are a new advertiser, posting a new StarAd will cost you only $112. However, adding on StarAd to a Standard Ad will cost an additional $58 - meaning $72 (Standard Ad) + $58 (StarAd add-on). You'll save $18 if you choose to post your advertisement with StarAd from the start.

Are there any additional fees after posting my ad?

Standard Ad and StarAd listing fees cost $72 and $112 respectively. These prices are inclusive of GST.
After posting, you can refresh your ad for $10 (w/ GST), or you can upgrade your Standard Ad to a StarAd listing with an additional $58 (w/ GST).

Can I visit your office to post my sell car advertisement?

Yes. Should you choose not to post the advertisement online, you can come by. We are located at 151 Lorong Chuan Lobby D #04-04, New Tech Park, S(556741). Our operating hours are 10.30am - 6.30pm daily. We will shoot photos of your car and post your advertisement for you at no extra charge for the Standard Ad. Do note that besides credit card and internet banking, we also accept cash payment for walk-in customers.
