Abba have announced a major change to their smash hit hologram show Abba Voyage, three years after launching the show.

The four-piece band are represented as digital avatars in the popular attraction at Stratford's Queen Elizabeth Park in east London, previously home of the London 2012 Olympics.

Abba Voyage showcases so-called 'Abbatar' versions of Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad with the 90-minute concert including hits as Mamma Mia, The Winner Takes It All and Voulez-Vous.

And now fans will be able to see even more Abba hits on stage as the pop icons announce they are adding songs to their London residency to mark its third anniversary.

The gig five years in the making takes the audience back to Abba's 1970s and 1980s prime, with the new additions to the set list thought to includeSuper Trouper, Take A Chance On Me and Money, Money, Money.

In a statement on Wednesday the band said: 'When we first opened we never imagined that we'd still be in London three years on. We're very grateful that so many of you have joined us.

'Of course, the reason for us being able to sustain our concert for so long is because of our incredible audience. As we say in Sweden, Vilken resa! (What a trip!)

'So, to celebrate we'll be adding a little something to our concert from the 27th of May to thank you for your love and support. We hope you enjoy it!'

The band members — Björn Ulvaeus, 79, Agnetha Fältskog, 74, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 79, and Benny Andersson, 78 — spent three weeks at Ealing Studios in West London in September 2020 filming in motion capture suits for ABBA Voyage.

According to The Sun, the group shot footage for the three extra songs then. The updated show will start performances in May after a two week break to allow for the new material to be tested.

The show is currently taking bookings until January 2026.

A report in 2023 revealed that at that point the show had alreadypumped £322million into the British economy.

Over three million people have now seen the show, with tickets priced up to £181.50 each.
